Our home is a peaceful vicarage
set in secluded gardens on the edge of the village of Rolvenden, 5 minutes
drive from the pretty market town of Tenterden. We offer three rooms, a
double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single with shared bathroom facilities.
Just five minutes on foot
from the village shop and two minutes from public footpaths through
beautiful Kent countryside, we are a perfect base from which to explore
the Weald of Kent. The famous gardens of Sissinghurst Castle, as
well as Great Dixter, are a short drive away, as well as many other
National Trust properties. If you are a steam train enthusiast, then
a visit to the Kent & Sussex Steam trains is a must. Just twenty five
minutes away over the border into East Sussex is the historic “Cinque
Port” of Rye, a quaint and interesting town of cobbled streets and old
world charm. There is something for everyone in the Weald, and we welcome
you to come and stay at The Vicarage for a place to heave a sigh of relief
at the end of your busy day.
Enjoy a full English breakfast or a tasty vegetarian option, both
made using local produce. Alternatively have a continental breakfast
including homemade jams and marmalade from the local Rolvenden Farmers
market.
If the English sun is out, then have a cup of tea on the terrace or
take a walk around the garden.
